Q : What is the experience of ETAStar Hospitality?
A :

The experience of ETAStar Hospitality goes back a long way. The partner company, Al Ghurair Group saw an opportunity to pioneer nation-building in the early 1970s. In 1973 they joined forces with Amana Investments, Hong Kong to form Associated Construction and Investments (ASCON). Becoming a regional leader, a strategic tie-up let to the establishment of ETA-Ascon Group with the main interest in the construction of international projects in the UAE and abroad.

Over the years the company was involved in several prestigious projects including Hotels, Residence Buildings, Sport Clubs, Telecommunication Centers, Power stations, Factories, etc.

 

 
 
 
 
Q : Who is ETA StarHospitality?
A :

ETAStar Hospitality is a new hotel management company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates operating under the commercial name; StarHospitality Hotels & Resorts. The Owning Company of StarHospitality Hotels & Resorts are Dubai -based conglomerates including ETA-Ascon and ETA-Star Property Developers LLC, both major companies with significant interests in the region. The group successfully and professionally runs establishments in core businesses including, construction, banking, real estate, hotels, catering, retailing, consultancy services, leisure, etc.

Under the umbrella of ETA-Star Property Developers LLC, the overall plan is to bolster the services offered by StarHospitality Hotels & Resorts and build up the company to a leading level in the region and internationally. Hospitality experience includes ownership of up market food chains, coffee shops and hotels in Dubai.

Q : What are the fee structures for ETAStar Management?
A :

Period
Initial periods of five, ten and fifteen years, to be counted from the moment the hotel is open or StarHospitality Hotels & Resorts takes over its management. The contract may then be extended for additional period of ten (10) years.

Management charges
Basic Fee: 2.5 % to 6.5% of the hotel Gross Sales according to volume.

Incentive Fee: A performance-related fee equivalent 10% to 14 % of Gross Operating Profit.

The Marketing Contribution: Two and a half (2.5 %) percent of gross room sales.

Technical Assistance Fees
Technical Assistance services during the design, construction and management phase of the project will be US $ 350/- per room or no less than Seventy Five Thousand US Dollars – whichever is greater. Out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed as incurred. No fees will be charged in exchange of Management Contract for duration of fifteen years.

Capital Replacement and Reserve Funds
For replacement of furniture and equipment in the amount of 2% of the gross revenue for the first three years and 3% from year 4-5.
